A thousand Apologies
- to every single one of you
old, and new friends -
I have been neglectful
to return the courtesy
of your visits and comments.

Although I am physically well,
this dramatic turn in the weather
has affected me intellectually
and emotionally at a deep level... (?!)
It has also brought most of our daily
lives to a grinding halt
- and we don't see, forecast wise - the end in sight.
Some of the municipalities have been operating on "emergency" status.

Plus, as a "one woman band" I am diligently applying myself to set up my hobbies as "formal" sources of income. Which I feel, I like/must do to at this point.

My most sincere appreciation for your caring and friendship.
Hope this will soon pass - as eventually all does - and, I will be in a far better frame of heart and mind to engage with you all.

Wishes of much love, joy and laughter flowing to all of you ...

Angel Dust, I love a big storm - it forces me to retreat into my cocoon and take care of what's important to me. I view it as a gift from God - the gift of slowing down in time.

So I hope you have plenty of food and can just stay put - a perfect opportunity to work on your beautiful jewels!

Take care... Nature is just having its word.
Perhaps it will give you time to focus as Sunflower says on creativity.
Hope to see you soon.
:o)

I am so glad I came to take a peek...

Dear SunflowerOptimism and Trinitystar, so lovely to read your words. Thank you.

That is how I feel - a strong need to retreat.

To add, all my efforts to move forward (this past week) have been stalled... for a couple more weeks!
All indicates a time to pause.

Love and blessings to both of you.

No worries, Angeldust, come back when you're ready. I hope the storm hasn't damaged too much- such a beautiful part of the country you live in.

Take care,

Dear Angeldust, Your obsessions are a source od delight and inspiration for people like me. When you are in good shape we are in good shape. so if you take care of yourself you'd be doing us a great favour. Your work and words generates warmth Angeldust, please stay warm yourself and please don't take any chances.

Here in India there's hardly any change of weather, with three seasons, hot hotter and hottest. Now we are in hot season. The sun is very bright as always. When some one calls and says I am coming over to brighten up your day, we say please don't come. When some one says I am coming to dampen your spirits we say you are most welcome, please bring a bucket of water. Water situation has eased to a great extent as we had some good rains this time.

please take care of yourself dear Angeldust
lots of love and hugs

Dare I ask?

Dearest Mrs. Anne-Marie – ah, status change!

Thanks for the visit and the patience... I just really feel the need to cocoon... the melt already started, who knows what THAT will bring. (?)
When I lived in Alberta and the Okanagan, I never gave heavy snowfalls a thought - then in 2001 I got stuck on the Coquihala HWY for eight hours slipping and sliding - I was never so freaked out in my entire life - the long-haul trucks were in the same predicament. There's got to be memories at a "cellular" level that have temporarily taken over.

Hello Pauline,
Snow... I love it on the mountains.
And we are privileged in this region as it mainly snows in the mountains, within 45min from town.
The best of booth words. Hard to give up, I must admit.

Hope yours is a pleasant snowfall.

Alicia M B Ballard StudioGaleria said...

Rauf - your words/sentiments can single-handedly melt the snow...
I am not adding more.

Lots of love and hugs back to you.

Dear Nasra
You are welcome to express your feelings here. After all, we are of similar minds/hearts and the timing may not matter as much as the need to speak out loud wherever and whenever we need to.

We all need to be heard...
I am humbled by your spontaneuos sharing.

Thank you.
Take good care.
Love and much joy to you

hey... xmichra you are laughing at me aren't ya?
:)

You are used to this kind of winter - but, it is still Fall - for us - he-he-he - and we are just not "equipped" for this situation, starting with footwear,
so simple... I haven't got a pair of winter boots, neither does 99% of the population... for that matter neither do they have winter tires...
For crying out loud Surrey has only 7, yes, seven plows!!!
I don't think we have any in WHite Rock, just those little construction-pushy-dealies (?)

Anyway - for us - IS reaaaaaaaly COLD.

Hug

PS.: I only had one pair of Nikes that has a deep rigged soles - good for traction at certain temperatures only...
Anyway it is "slowly", thank God, melting away...

Dear SLS
long time no see - was thinking about you the other day...

I am burried in beads and in screening films for an upcoming Social Justice Film Festival.

I have not managed to lift my mood - maybe with the next sunshine!

Love and joy to you

Hello Nasra...

I am happy to hear that I could have done that...

I know I have a huge problem myself - not always coordinated between my fingers and my brain

Just checking to make sure you haven't turn into a beautiful ice crystal. Have a wonderful weekend!

Alicia M B Ballard StudioGaleria said...

Thanks for checking in on me Pauline, very nice gesture - much appreciated!

Not quiet an ice crystal - more of a soggy/sagging orange (?) Yeah... that about describes it accurately.

The headaches that used to have in CalLgary have returned on a daily basis... Iteresting what "weather" can do to some of us.
Still grey and gloomy - we got 2 days of sunshine since all of this started. It IS slowly melting.

I do hope we get steady sun again to lift my spirits and get back on blogging track.

A wonderful weekend for you too!
Love and joy

There is a tiny-little-bit left, just now being washed away by the rain...
Oh, living in a rainforest area has its downs!

Thanks for caring.
Hope you are keping well, someone sent me a pic I shall post just to tickle your funny bone...

Love and joy to you and yours

Hi Angeldust,
Sounds like Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as the "Winter Blues"

I get that too, it's because it gets so cold that I can't go outside very much, and I like to go outside to go for a walk.

Have you thought of getting sun lamps? I heard the light from them looks like sunlight.

Hope you feel better.

Take care.

Alicia M B Ballard StudioGaleria said...

Hello metalchick,nice to see you.
You are absolutely right.
I got all full spectrum light bulbs going...
Even my kitchen flourescents are "sunlight".
We had 3 "Three" days of sunshine in I donno how long... we are into rain and heavy winds once again, power outages...
Last night's rain was coming down in sheets, sideways, I swear.

You are looking good... woahow, quiet a difference - Me here?
Probably packed on a good couple of pounds. Will blame on the weather!!!
Hope school is coming along fine.

Thanks for dropping in
Love and joy to you
