Not quiet... I just joined a local group - Friends of the Semiahmoo Bay Society - as a volunteer "shorekeeper". We spent several hours yesterday at low tide identifying marine life with the guidance of a Marine Biologist.
I always loved water, but a series of events last summer changed it all for me, as if I would have completely missed my calling (which I still really don't know what it is!?)
So, I am looking forward to a great warm wheather season...waddling at the shore.

I have NEVER seen a purple starfish. Is this for real? my god, I bet it has no predators!

PS: You word verification code was ananagram of "your kite".

Ian
Absolutely. NO touch ups! Those "brighter" ones were outside the water , which at the time came mid-calf - but still worthy of recording.
Yesss, the gulls get some of them.
I have also seen magenta coloured ones last summer - with a zillion arms, like gigantic flowers.
These ones were about a foot in diameter, from tip to tip and can be even larger.
Including the solitary orange one, very pretty and slender...

ah... great anagram
(right now mine is "I seek" - how cool is that?)

Martyn - beach or a tad of heaven?

Ahhh, BrownShoes, isn't there something useless around all the time...?

Ashley said...

Yes there is always something useless.. but that is what spices life up some... See what you can do with those useless things, and life may not be so stale no more.. mine says wdzxjgfl

If we only stop fora second to give it a second serious thought ... we can never tell what really lies "behind the nonsense"

Hi Angeldust
70% of species are underwater and we do not know them all. We do not know all the species that are on land too. Discoveries are made every day.
such lovely colours
Shorekeeper is a great job Angeldust. Joining them is a good gesture.
