Beautiful picture there. I think it is important to demonstrate to everyone who has had this kind of effect in our lives just how important that contribution is and will be. I made sure not only to speak to my own mother, but also, to all of my "surrogate" mothers as well. Being a mother does not just require a completed birth process.

You are sooooo right, I have always felt the same way. As a matter of fact after a lovely mother's day luncheon I dropped in to visit a former (elderly) neighbour whom has been in a way close to the "surrogate" you suggested.
All women are "potentially" surrogate mothers, I think we all have live our lives having in mind the younger ones are watching us.
