Beautiful creatures. I wish people were more serious about treating the planet with care. There is so much to lose.

they are the coolest - it was amazing to hold them - once I got over the "yeaks" factor...

Everything new takes me getting used to dear Anne Marie...

I am still not holding larger crabs OR snakes!

Wow was the starfish really that colour? You haven't photoshopped it? Sorry I have to ask I've not seen very many starfish (used to see one every week in my local petshop: they had marine aquaria)... I see you're still posting amazing pictures as per usual! I did a post on our local birdsong today. Had a bird outside my window pretending to be an alarm clock at 5 o'clock Sunday morning!!

yeap, that's the colour and the orange bellow is quiet bright too

there are 5 varieties of starfish

I believe we are mostly familiar with one...
you should see them at low tide at the Pacific Rim Nat. Park!!!

I was thinking earlier today about wanting to visit your blog (and other's as well) - just been super busy with volunteering and my art matters. I will make it over soon....

I am totally bushed!

Love and joy

See what you mean about the critter at the bottom ... my partner is a Cancerean ... ooooooooh possesive. :o) Just a little anyway.

It is quiet a "soap opera" down there!
Mostly for "adults" only - the Biologists chide, but the male crab will actually kidnap and hold hostage a female while molten - as she cannot really fight back being so tender... hm!

FRIENDSHIP

Among the priviliges
of friendship
is the opportunity
to share
some of the deeper feelings
of human life....
the joys and sorrows.

Pain is lessend
when shared
with a friend
who cushions the blow.

Joys are doubled
when shared
with a friend.
Then two hearts are happy.
Two people
Laugh and sing.

A friend
is for sharing

No matter what the turmoil
everything
can come out
in the presence
of a friend.

In a friendship
there is
the magical warmth
of the human heart
that surpasses
the power od medicine.

Dearest MArgie

I tended to Sonia's request and then - got a late night call...
As I read your wonderful poem (shared it)

life goes/flows on...
was totally bushed.

There is something to be said about sharing ones feelings - both negative and positive - because at the end, what one is left with is needed gentle transformation.

Thinking of you today.
Hope all is going well.
It's been a busy day for me....
off work today, but have had a million errands to do.
Off to a ballgame now with Jake.

So happy you liked the poem:):):)

Friends want to know
and be known...
A friendship, in fact
grows
as friends get to know
each other better.
It is so special
to be getting to know
all about each other:):)

This is an incredible photograph. I never knew star fish were so colorful. Fabulous! Keep discovering.....

Alicia M B Ballard StudioGaleria said...

until this experience I didn't either... although, we have oozles of them on the rocks at the end of our pier...

My "special friend" photographed them (also) around Main a few years back and were included in his New YorK show... so, out to the beach you go!

Oh dearest Angel, never seen a purple star fish, thank you so much, never heard of it. Its so beautiful. i still believe that nothing has seriously gone wrong with this word as yet. But its time to wake up, we had just too many warning signals.

Had severe cold and fever. Completely exhausted, not many pictures though, but had wonderful time in the wilderness.

lots of love and Hugs
