God's Other Notions of "Perfect"
in this corner of the world
shots are not the best... but, you'll get the idea
on the median (or centre garden), these clusters look particularly
nice intersperced amond the rocks and cement

we had a couple of hours of sun, managed to do friday's and other things before being caught in the rain coming back down the hill... :)

Hi AngelDust,
What lovely flowers and plants you have. This is such a great time of year for me- I love to see the blooms in all their different colours and shapes.

I see you're on the other side of the country from where I am. I'll bet it's just gorgeous out there with the onset of summer.

Cheers,
Anne-Marie

Welcome Ane Marie
Thank you, that is so kind of you!

It has been raining for 8 months... seriously. We have broken rainfall records and we still have to have the heat on, it gets really cool at night, but, I guess no one will feel much pitty for us... we still have a Corner of Paradise.
We are (finally) paying for our heartless show-offs of all these past years.

Must be awful muggy around there...
I liked Ontario (Toronto and area, you are around there, right?) but the climate was less appealing to me than that of Calgary - stayed in Markham for job training, way back when...

Cheers back to you

Hi AngelDust,
Beauiful pictures. I love how the flowers are growing through the concrete, which could be a metaphor for something beautiful and delicate coming from something hard and rough.

I love those beauties that volunteer -especially in the most unlikely places.

Thursday, June 8 - back in circulation - had PC matters to attend to.

It is sooo gratifying to read your comments.
It can feel rather "lonely" out there when it comes to "perceptions" of beauty, or even maybe feelings on the simpler things in life.

Thank you Ane Marie, dragonflyfilly, archonómada, matalchick and brownshoes!

anonymous- que angel ?

hi Angeldust,

Thanks for the soccer docs info. I am an avid follower of CBC Newsworld and I saw the ads for the docs this week. You've reminded me to PVR the lot.

Yes, I am from Toronto. Don't hate me.:)

Have a great weekend.

Cheers,
AM

No way Anne-Marie- no such thing as hate... love the place, just a little bit crowded, but lots of fun and life!

These are great. I visited a cemetary recenty, and I was fascinated by the idea of "nature taking over"--looking at the stones and the sepulchers that have been covered by vines and leaves or have trees starting to sprout from them--it is a fanastic metaphor for life. I love the theme, here, too.
