YIELDING TO "QUIET TIME" YIELD
- a watercolour and background music day -

Nautilus' Eye *Not For Sale

" Energy"

"Chapel"

Although I appreciate some aspects of watercolours, I am not completely sold on them - they feel sooo "flat"... Perhaps this is a direct result of not having proper technical training... OK, any training! (Never been keen on them...)

Back to reality ... sink full of dishes, dinner (or rather breakfast?) to be made; I'll be getting really hungry any minute now.

Joy to you

Peace & Joy to you!

The Magic of water colours, is how 'water' creates art, a drop, a tear, ... falling and making patterns.

Of course an artist with a brush makes the water & paint flow to represent places of worship, chakras or spirals & eyes ...

Wishing you a lovely day - Q.

Hi Angeldust,
Your uncertainty of watercolor doesn't show....they are lovely creations! I found that being so used to acrylics I had to develop an appreciation for watercolor over time as well. And a few tears have actually been shed onto a piece or two.

Blessings, peace, joy and the gentle fluttering of angels wings to you...

Oh... dear Serenity... "gentle fluttering of angels wings"... I like that, that's when they shower us with "angels dust" .... did uou know?

Thank you for your words and thinking of me ♥

Sweet blessings, peace, joy and lots of fluttering back to you

Hi Angel,
I like the near transparency or lightness of watercolour, that which you refer to as "flat."

Don't stop playing with it.

Cheers,
AM

I have been trying, but for me, I have absolutely no watercolors training either, and my results are rather poor--although it's great fun to make the pictures in the first place, so perhaps, that's the point.

I like the colors, though, and maybe the less "defined" a picture is, the more it expresses about the painter.

Dear Metalchick

I have a copy of National Geographic (a fluke) dated October 2004.
The extensive article details (and predicted) the reasons why such disaster would occur.
Manmade changes to the area to accommodate pipelines and the further filling of an enormous swampland that has become the “lost area” to Katrina, would be well advised, to leave good enough alone since this was a larger repetition of an earlier devastating flood some decades back.

I am very sorry to share with you this grim prognosis, as it would be unconscionable to rebuild anywhere other than on natural high ground.

Love to you and al all those that have and still suffering the consequences of ill planning.

WOW!
Dear slskeyon you said it.
What I most admire is your ability to pinpoint the lack of spontaneous "thought and creativity" as of serious concern of our times.

I was as smart as you at your age...

Hmm.
I certainly would like to know what you are thinking…. Hmm.
Meaning… flexibility?

Love and joy to you

Dear PJ - thank you and, yes I am "somewhat partial to Nautilus' myself... however the subtle colours of the
the Chakra energy did not translate well to the blog...

Love and joy to you
