NOT A ROSE GARDEN (Part Two?)
- Putting it all into perspective ...
as in the eyes of a child -

Looked for these photos (some probably are with the Feliciano batch) after reading your postings, and it occurred to me that this issue is always addressed from an "adult" perspective!

I am the tall blonde - with the big feet, no sox - in the middle looking away from the camera and toward the (dreaded) nun.

... the joyless faces tell it all - up until this afternoon I had not made the connection

The boarding school chapel where I had my First Communion I used to "escape" to the choir loft (which opened to the tiny balcony) and pray, the veggie patch to the far right of the property or to the grotto directly behind the chapel... with the two German shepherds we had. That is when my "love affair" with dogs began. Always, always to be trusted!

Found this quote a few minutes after I posted... "Reexamine all that you have been told in school, or in church or in any book. Dismiss whatever insults your soul." - Walt Whitman -

Hi Angeldust,
I think childhood pictures are often very telling. I love the quote you posted at the end of your blog entry. So very true.

Yes, aren't they.
I am particularly "sensitive" to images and I can't believe I often chuckled about our faces, particularly on the one we are dancing... wow!

Agree, superb quote.
