The assignment - Part Two/The End!
... Slowly, up hill, in the slippery, wet snow...

THE assignment View South from the "assignment" point - that is not fog, that is tiny snow flakes impeding visibility, no more than approx. 100 meters.

The ski hills around the lower mainland were not open this past week, but, Whisler opened early as they "were blessed" with 170cm base - which is something they usually accumulate by mid-January...

This looks very pretty, but I am sure that it has brought the entire mainland to a halt (too busy to catch the news) as this is not customary around here. We don't have the cleanup equipment that it takes to make the streets safe. Most likely the major Highways have been cleared, as they are either Provincial or Federal Government's jurisdictions.

I am not sure what kinds of problems this will add to the past ones, but regrettably, there is going to be a lot of people without electricity and other standards we have become accustomed to.

The photos have not been touched-up.

Peace, love and blessings to all - here and everywhere

PS: 6:00PM News confirmed power outage, mayhem on the un-plowed highways and city streets ... even one death. It appears this is the largest snowfall in our (recorded?) history. We had between 20 and 30cm! Airport experiencing cancellations and up to 6 hr delays... This is serious for us, in "rainforest" land. The temperature generally does not get under 6°C/30°F in the winter, we are expecting temperatures bellow 0°C
